COAS greeted on successful operation at GHQ
ISLAMABAD: The senior political leadership of the country has felicitated Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and paid rich tributes to Pak Army on frustrating the terrorists by conducting successful operation at GHQ.
According to an official statement, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani telephoned Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and congratulated him on the successful operation and also paid tributes to the entire Army.
They expressed condolence for the troops martyred in the operation.
Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain also telephoned COAS and greeted him on Pak Army’s triumph.
Governor Punjab Salman Taseer, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah also felicitated the Army Chief by phone.
