Chicken price goes up by Rs 20/kg

ISLAMABAD : The price of chicken has risen a record Rs 20/kg across Sindh over the past ten days.

Poultry Association Sindh President Hussain Patel said the retail price of chicken went up to Rs 122/kg after Eid ul Fitr; however, the price surged to Rs 142/kg with an addition of Rs 20.

The hike in chicken price is being witnessed owing to the commencement of winter and weddings season.

The price of eggs also rose to Rs 69 per dozen, adding the raise in eggs price is due to the decrease in the number of poultry farms.
